Students are welcome to bring a pattern of their own choice to this class: commercial, adapted, or an original design. All cuts are welcome.
My aim is to create an atmosphere in class that is happy and stress-free, where participants can leave their cares behind and enjoy the process.
In my role as teacher, there are many things I can do to support you. I am available to help with understanding the pattern, assisting with managing wool, teaching fundamental rug-hooking techniques, and most importantly, to support with color planning in order to achieve contrast, balance and harmony. I’m happy to assist with a project that is in process, and help with problem solving. These elements will be central to our individual and group discussions, and will ensure that class participants can confidently carry on with projects upon returning home.
This is your week. The class will be driven by what you, the student, needs. I look forward to having you in my class, whatever your level of rug hooking.
